Dr. Bhavani Kura earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, graduating with honors. She completed her Neurosurgical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She furthered her expertise through a Skull Base / Complex Cranial Fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Science Center Shreveport. Dr. Kura's professional journey led her to faculty positions at the LSU Department of Neurosurgery, as well as the Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute in Milwaukee, WI. Since 2021, she has served as a Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Utah and currently holds the position of Stroke Director at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Kura's clinical focus centers on cranial base neurosurgery. She actively participates in professional associations and committees, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).

Driven by a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes, Dr. Kura's impactful research has yielded numerous articles and presentations. Her unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of neurosurgical care continues to positively impact patients under her expert care.
