Her research mainly focuses on providing validity and reliability evidence of assessment measures in education. She is also interested in the assessment of surgical competence and outcomes using advanced quantitative methods or machine learning techniques.
Dr. Sun grew up in China and holds her Ph.D. in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She received her postdoctoral training from Northwestern University.
