Somayeh Gholami, M.S., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a Medical Physicist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Huntsman Cancer Hospital (HCH). Dr. Gholami earned her M.Sc. in Radiation Medicine Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University and completed her Ph.D. in Medical Physics at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) in Iran. She completed her residency training in Medical Physics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Her clinical and research interests include Monte Carlo simulations for radiotherapy, brachytherapy, spatially fractionated radiation therapy (SFRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), radiobiological modeling, and advancements in cancer treatment.
