Dr. Stevens practices through the University of Utah School of Medicine at Primary Children's Medical Center. He completed his medical training at Albany Medical College, Orhopedic Residency at the University of Utah and Pediatric Orthopedic Fellowship at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. A diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Stevens is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Association, the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society and the Western Orthopaedic Association. He has expertise in the management of a wide range of pediatric problems including developmental hip dislocation, Perthes disease as well as limb deformities involving rotational, angular and length abnormalities. Additionally he deals with orthopaedic problems related to neuromuscular disease and skeletal dysplasias. He has pioneered minimally invasive techniques for dealing with these complex problems. Dr. Stevens also serves as a consultant through the State of Utah Children's With Special Healthcare Needs and travels to Moab and Blanding twice a year treating children in rural areas. Dr. Stevens is also involved with the "Mercy Ships" Organization and has traveled back and forth to third world countries teaching orthopaedic techniques.
