Senthil Nachimuthu is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics and a Research Associate in Epidemiology at the School of Medicine. His research involves the detection and management of sepsis using machine learning. His goal is to use of data to improve the health of individuals and populations. His research interests include healthcare interoperability, analytics, machine learning, epidemiology, infectious diseases and patient safety. His teaching interests include biomedical terminologies, interoperability standards and clinical decision support. He received his medical degree from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, India and his PhD in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Nachimuthu also works as Senior Director of Clinical Informatics at Truveta. He has been inducted as a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association.
