TP Singh is an Associate Professor in the Public Health, Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. His work with various community-based organizations has enabled him to develop a global perspective on public health. He has worked in East and South Asia, navigating different cultures, religions, languages, and social relationships. He has played a key role in fostering academic collaborations and engaging communities in promoting research, teaching and applied practice of Public Health globally. He has conducted collaborative implementation research in the areas of oral health, gender-based violence, Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WaSH), nutrition and sexual and reproductive health. He directs a learning abroad program for the Division of Public Health to India and South Korea for promoting experiential learning and implementation science. His recent scholarly work examines strategies to address period poverty and to prevent public space harassment across South Asia. He earned his Master of Public Health at the University of Utah, Master of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Government Dental College and Hospital.

Research Statement

My focus is community-engaged intervention driven research to seek solutions promising a life of dignity and well being for individuals and communities;locally,nationally and globally.
