TingTing Hong, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology in the College of Pharmacy, University of Utah. Dr. Hong received her MD and clinical training from the Peking University, and her PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Michigan. After completing her postdoctoral training in the Cardiovascular Research Institute at the University of California San Francisco, Dr. Hong joined Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and University of California Los Angeles in 2013 as a faculty member before her recruitment to the University of Utah in 2020. Dr. Hong has a broad background in medicine, physiology, pharmacology, and cell biology with expertise in the field of cardiovascular research. The Hong Lab focuses on the basic cell biology of cardiomyocytes, with particular interest in the transverse tubule membrane microdomain organization and regulation in normal and diseased cardiac myocytes. Combining transgenic mouse models, biochemical assays with high-resolution imaging techniques, the Hong Lab explores novel mechanisms of dynamic microdomain regulation and remodeling during heart failure progression, aiming to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic tools for heart failure.
