Travis Mickelson, M.D. attended medical school at the University of Utah. He also completed both his residency in General Psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Utah.

Dr. Mickelson's clinical interests include consult liaison psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry and teaching medical students and residents. He is developing a collaborative mental health program focused on training pediatric residents to better identify and manage their patients' mental health concerns.

Dr. Mickelson's research interests include developing evidence-based methods for mental health education and integration particularly within primary care settings.

Dr. Mickelson was recently chosen to participate in the Academy of Pediatric Education and Learning program through the Department of Pediatrics during the 2011/2012 academic year.
