BME COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: NEJRA MUJKANOVIĆ

Nejra Mujkanović, first year Biomedical Engineering graduate student in Dr. Pulsipher's Lab, has published a personal narrative about her family’s harrowing journey to escape the Bosnian war and establish their new lives in the United States in the BME Community Spotlight. We are fortunate to have Nejra on the UROC Innovations team and grateful for her bravery in sharing her story with us: “My purpose in sharing this spotlight is not to emphasize my personal narrative but to create a platform for the untold stories of millions. Stories of displacement, resilience, and survival against their oppressor(s). Today, we stand on the shoulders of those who dared to speak.”
