Management of Mild TBI & Concussion Conference: a Multidisciplinary Outpatient Focus

A Conference Presented by University of Utah Health's Rehabilitation Center

Concussions continue to gain more attention, yet assessments and treatments of concussions are still poorly understood. Whether a concussion is sustained during athletics, motor vehicle accidents, military or work injuries, or recreational activities, there is little consensus on the most appropriate assessment and treatment. Concussions are complex and result in a heterogeneous symptom presentation that can include deficits in the psychological, cognitive, vestibular, orthopedic, and visual systems.

This course is designed to improve understanding of the professional roles and multidisciplinary approach in the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of concussion.

Attendees will hear from physicians, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.

Each discipline will discuss the latest evidence in regards to diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of concussion.

Who Should Attend?

Physicians, psychologists, case managers, nurses, physical/occupational/speech therapists, assistants, athletic trainers, and students are all encouraged to attend this conference.
