Why Utah?
I chose Utah because I saw how incredible the program was as a medical student, and I wanted to pursue my training at an institution with a beautiful, state-of-the-art rehab hospital and amazing faculty. There’s a great mix of hands-on experiences, and as an engineer who took a nontraditional path into medicine, I love how many opportunities there are for exciting research collaborations in neuroprosthetics, brain-machine interfaces, and adaptive sports. It feels like the future is happening here, and I’m excited to be a part of it.
