I grew up a Florida man, playing in the springs, swamps, and beaches while worshipping Tampa Bay Lightning hockey. I met my wife in high school and now we share a pup who loves to adventure with us. I enjoy no shortage of opportunity which started off as pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering and taking classes in scuba diving and beekeeping, but ultimately led me to EM. I’m stoked to continue my journey at the U, meet awesome people, and explore the Wasatch!
My hobby is having hobbies! Swimming, hiking, camping, running, climbing… really anything that ends in -ing and is outside… with my wife and dog, of course. I’m a cycling enthusiast (tandem, road, MTB). I love a good adventure and have trekked to Mt. Everest Base Camp in Nepal and hiked through India and Israel. On a rainy day, you can find me in an antique store or playing low-quality blitz chess.

Everyone was even more awesome in person and between the diversity of training environments, the insane catchment area, and the people - it was clear that this was some of the best training in the country. Additionally, the wilderness medicine exposure at the U is unparalleled and having all of the resources of the U and a strong alumni network helped put this program at the top of our list. Although, living in a vacation destination with this level of work life balance was definitely a tough sell...
