Why Utah?
Incredible surgical training in a very warm and welcoming environment. On my interview day I was blown away by how friendly the residents were, and the residency culture has proven to be phenomenal here. Also Salt Lake City is such a hidden gem for a Midwesterner like myself; there’s so much to do outdoors, the mountains are incredible, and I’m excited to try skiing for the first time with my co-residents.
