I’m a born and bred Midwesterner, but have lived all over. College first took me from Michigan to Connecticut. I thought I’d get a PhD in the humanities, so majored in religious studies. I realized I love learning about people and their stories, but wanted to combine that with something more hands-on. After moving to Washington and working in EMS for a few years, I knew emergency medicine was for me. I also learned I love backpacking, climbing, and all things mountainous!

Interests & Hobbies
My longest-standing hobby is climbing, but I love backpacking, running, and ultimate frisbee, too. At lower heart rates, I enjoy puttering around a farmer’s market, cooking, and crafting.
Why Utah?
Utah’s program has it all: fantastic training, resident wellness, great location. What really sold me, though, was my second look. After meeting the faculty and residents, I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of this community of welcoming, enthusiastic, and driven people!
