About Me

I grew up in a small town in New England, where I developed an obsession with the Boston Bruins, UConn Huskies Basketball, and of course, the Pats! I've worked in a variety of jobs before medical school, from going to meetings at the Obama White House to working with incarcerated folks at a Boston jail. I've always wanted to be a doctor, and between being a chaos junky and my love of the outdoors, I found a home in EM.

Medical Areas of Interest

Wilderness Medicine, EMS, Healthcare Policy.

Interests & Hobbies

I'm a hobby enthusiast! I love rock climbing, backpacking and hiking, ultramarathoning and trail running, and travel. When I'm not outside, you can find me in my woodworking woodshop, where I love building furniture and crafting cutting boards. I love homebrewing and canning all the fruits/veggies I grow in my gardens. I've now brewed and bottled multiple wines and meads - my favorite so far has been a Pomegranate-Hibiscus Mead. Finally, my favorite hobby is spending time with my dog, Moose, who also loves the great outdoors and any form of car ride.

Why Utah?

I did an away rotation at Utah, and instantly felt at home! Everyone was so nice and supportive, and I loved all the support systems in place for healthcare workers and residents. UU has it all - from a diversity of training sites, a large catchment area and huge helicopter EMS program, Wilderness Medicine, and so many knowledgeable faculty!
