I grew up in the big, beautiful state of Montana with my incredible parents and three siblings, one brother and two sisters. My earliest and favorite memories are exploring its many mountains and streams. I stuck around for my undergraduate training, gaining a Math/Engineering double major and a Biology minor (and happily continuing to hike, bike, backpack, fish and raft throughout). After graduating I accepted a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, and while I learned a lot in that experience the most important lesson was Medicine is the career I'm most passionate about. I made the easy decision to head back West for medical school and spent four great years at OHSU and the beautiful state of Oregon, finding the perfect fit in Emergency Medicine during that time. I've had an incredible support crew the whole time, and can't wait to keep growing in my new Utah community!
