Minnesota is where I’ve called home for the past 25 years. I grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis with my parents and 3 brothers. On weekends - and frequently in the summertime - we would escape the busy city and head to our family lake cabin in northern Minnesota. As a lake child, I grew up loving the water. I learned to water ski at the age of 4 and started wakeboarding around age 11. When we were not in the water, we’d spend the day four wheeling or out hiking in the woods. Around the age of 9, my family took our first camping trip to Glacier National Park in Montana. I fell in LOVE with the mountains. When I was finally old enough to start traveling cross-country on my own, I’d make a point to go hiking in the mountains at least once a year. My boyfriend and brothers have accompanied me on several fourteener summits in Colorado with more planned in the coming years. Aside from enjoying the outdoors, I also have an extreme passion for the art of medicine. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a doctor and I’m thrilled to be entering one of the most exciting medical fields – Emergency Medicine!
