About Me
Shawna M. Sisler, PhD, MS, MA, MAPP, RN, C-PNP-PC, is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Utah. Her scholarly contributions focus on behavioral health integration and social determinants of mental health, particularly in the field of suicidology and workforce wellness. Dr. Sisler currently serves as our Advanced Wellness Practitioner in the PROMIS2U program and leads our MD ID 6920 Health Humanism course at the School of Medicine.
Dr. Sisler received her Ph.D. in Nursing Science from the University of Utah and her MS in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She holds two additional Masters degrees in Applied Positive Psychology and Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania and Santa Clara University, respectively. Before her time at the U, Dr. Sisler practiced and taught at UCSF in both child psychiatry and developmental medicine.
