Pain Medicine Fellowship

Fellows train at the Pain Management Center and complete the other requirements, such as acute pain, cancer pain, palliative care, orthopaedic spine, pediatric pain, headache clinic and pelvic pain clinic at the University of Utah Hospital, Huntsman Cancer Hospital and the Veterans' Administration Hospital, all located close to the Pain Management Center.

Perioperative Echocardiography Fellowship

The Division of Perioperative Echocardiography in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Utah offers a one-year fellowship in Perioperative Echocardiography. Since 2002, we have offered up to 4 positions per year. This fellowship is under the direction of Dr. Josh Zimmerman, MD, FASE.

Acute Pain Fellowship

The University of Utah offers a Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Fellowship with 1-3 positions per year.  Fellows spend two days per week pursuing clinical fellowship activities solely dedicated to regional anesthesia and acute pain management and one day per week pursuing academic projects.  For the remaining two days per week, fellows work as a faculty anesthesiologist in the operating room and are paid the full clinical incentive pay.
