Eunjin Lee, PhD
My research and theoretical interests take a life-course perspective on how couples and families cope with stress in the context of chronic illnesses and health issues such as type 1 diabetes, cancer, and suicide. I obtained two bachelor's degrees in psychology simultaneously in 2009 from Stony Brook and Ajou University in the Republic of Korea. Then I received my Master of Education in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and my Doctor of Philosophy in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. During my Ph.D. training, I examined health issues (e.g., terminal cancer, suicide, alcohol use, and depression) and coping, with a focus on couple and family relationship outcomes (e.g., couple satisfaction). Since July 2016, as a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Psychology at the University of Utah I have been examining type 1 diabetes across the lifespan. My recent research interest has been examining the role of sleep as central to the health behaviors in managing type 1 diabetes."
