Hello everyone! My name is Tommy Troy. I grew up in Toledo, Ohio. I played soccer and completed my undergraduate degree at Ohio Northern University. After graduation, I spent a year working as a medical scribe in Toledo area emergency departments. I completed my medical degree at the University of Cincinnati. My medical interests include sports medicine, preventive medicine, wilderness medicine, outpatient procedures, broad-spectrum outpatient services, medical education, and working with medically underserved and marginalized populations. Though I am excited to discover new interests as well while in residency. Outside of medicine, I love playing soccer, listening to music, rock-climbing and enjoying the great outdoors. I chose the University of Utah for a couple reasons - the first-class training, passionate faculty and staff, sports medicine opportunities, mountain access, and especially because I felt a kinship with residents and faculty during my interview experiences.
