  • About Me

Dr. Annie Kornetzke will be starting her fellowship on August 1st, 2022. She is originally from Madison, WI and moved to Illinois to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. After graduating, she worked at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in the cardiology department for several years. She then attended Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2019 with her DO degree. While in medical school she volunteered at a local community health center where she discovered her passion for family medicine. Annie then completed her residency at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in the Chicago area where she served as chief resident during the 2021-2022 academic year. Her medical interests include obstetrics, newborn care, sports medicine, outpatient procedures, and global health. Throughout her medical training, Annie has been fortunate enough to pursue her interests in global health and tropical medicine through various experiences in medical mission work in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Peru. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, running, hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and golden retriever, Izzy. She is excited to be moving to Salt Lake City to complete her fellowship and be closer to the mountains! After fellowship, Annie plans to work as a faculty member in an academic setting or as an outpatient physician with OB/c-section privileges, providing care to underserved communities.
