Student Application

Students may not participate in REACH U2 more than once. Please note that no previous college coursework or previous research experience is required.

Deadline

The deadline to submit an application is 11:59 PM (Mountain Time) on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Your application is not considered complete until both letters of recommendation have been submitted (deadline for letters is 11:59 PM (Mountain Time) on Wednesday, February 1, 2023). Accepted and waitlisted applicants will receive notification of the Selection Committee's decision via email in early to mid-March. Final notifications will be sent to remaining applicants at the beginning of April.

   1. Complete the online application form by the deadline. The application form includes the following sections:
      • Your contact information
      • Optional demographic information
      • Academic Materials
      • Project(s) selection
      • Applicants must only select REACH U2 projects (Baron, DeAtley, Martínez, O'Neil, and Pulsipher)
      • Application certification
      • Resume/CV
      • Transcript
      • Letter(s) of recommendation
      • Application Conditions
      • Application Certification
   2. After the application deadline, all applications will be reviewed by the Selection Committee.
   3. Accepted and waitlisted applicants will receive notification of the Selection Committee's decision via email in early February. Final notifications will be sent to remaining applicants at the beginning of April.
