    Best Practices Taskforce

    Mission Statement

Our mission is to deliver pertinent information to our GME community to promote streamlined processes for Program Coordinators and Managers. We aim to cultivate continuous improvement by providing a network of support to deliver instruction and encourage knowledge sharing within our community.

    Accomplishments

    • Producing informative and interactive quarterly workshops designed to foster the knowledge and support of the Program Coordinators/Managers. Many of the topics presented at these workshops follow the timeline for PC/M job responsibilities. We also include presentations related to major GME announcements, personal and professional growth, and well-being. These workshops are held virtually to accommodate the various work conditions of the PC/M population. We constantly work to improve the quarterly workshops through audience surveys and exploratory research.
    • The GME Program Managers/Coordinators Team’s chat channel was created to connect our PC/M population through instant messaging conversation and streamlined resource sharing. Before this Team’s chat was created, all communication between PC/Ms was primarily done through email. Now, PC/Ms can start their own conversations, ask for advice, check on each other’s well-being, share files, and so much more. All while doing so in a protected environment including only PC/Ms and the GME Office.
