LHS Orca Tank Pilot Competition
IMPACT is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the IMPACT Program Learning Health System Orca Tank Pilot Competition. The LHS Orca Tank supports learning health system demonstration projects that advance both operational and research goals. Projects may support implementation, evaluation, or use of other rigorous research methods that address a health system priority or need. IMPACT will match an operational or clinical partner's contribution, up to $25,000.
IMPACT Researcher Highlight: Dr. Valerie Vaughn
University of Utah Health has been awarded $30 million from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) to lead a large clinical study focused on identifying the most effective treatment for AWS. The study will compare phenobarbital, a newer treatment approach, with benzodiazepines, the established standard of care. Valerie Vaughn, MD, MS, Associate Director of IMPACT, will lead the study.
Welcoming Dr. Andrew Wong
We are excited to announce that Dr. Andrew Wong will be joining the University of Utah as an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, and as IMPACT's Director of Clinical AI Research. Dr. Wong brings a wealth of experience in digital health innovations, AI research, and implementation science and we could not be more enthusiastic to welcome him into the IMPACT & U of U Health research community.
