About Me
Before starting medical school, Rachel worked in the Experimental Hematology Laboratory of the Ohio State University, studying CLL and AML. During medical school, Rachel developed an interest in movement disorders and studied motor blocks in handwriting in the UAMS Virmani Gait Laboratory. She also participated in various methods of community outreach, including coordinating medical Spanish classes for healthcare professionals, managing a community garden, maintaining the UAMS beehives, and volunteering in her school’s affiliated free clinic. Rachel pursued a global health track in medical school, studying medical Spanish for a summer in Ecuador, and completing a neurology clinical rotation in Peru. Outside of academics, Rachel likes to rock climb, hike, collect antiques, and watch horror movies.
