Kyle Alexander, MD

  • About Me

Originally from the United Kingdom, Kyle completed his medical training at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. His diverse background includes early training at the Royal Ballet School, where he cultivated discipline and honed his technique in dance and theater. This foundation fuels his interest in the interplay between mind and body, particularly in how dance can serve as a holistic therapy for patients with movement disorders and neurodegenerative conditions.

As an ambassador for Encephalitis International, he is dedicated to advancing knowledge in autoimmune neurology and understanding the complexities of multisystem diseases and their impact on brain health. He has authored scientific articles on topics such as the link between obesity and glioma, neurological complications related to ECMO, and deep brain stimulation for epilepsy. In addition to his clinical work, Kyle is the head of research and outreach at TOMO Global Health, an organization committed to addressing long-standing health issues in developing nations and reducing healthcare inequities.

Outside of his professional commitments, Kyle enjoys hiking, traveling and experiencing different cultures and cuisines. He has a special fondness for Jamaica, where he volunteered at a dog sanctuary and worked closely with local communities, helping to promote animal welfare and engage in community outreach initiatives.
