  • About Me

Raeann grew up in New Jersey and California before moving to Boston to study engineering at Tufts University. She worked for several years in various research positions in neurology, oncology, and pediatric genetics. She eventually followed her significant other to South Dakota and fell in love with the Midwest, ultimately deciding to stay for medical school. She can’t wait to explore Utah as her next adventure. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, running, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her rescue mutt, Izzy. If she weren't a doctor, she'd be an ice-cream shop owner!  Rae will be moving to New York to do a stroke fellowship at Columbia University.

    Medical Areas of Interest

Our stroke faculty have diverse interests and are all incredible educators, so I have really enjoyed training in stroke and feel very well prepared to start a vascular fellowship next year. My mentors were great advocates for me during fellowship applications, and I ultimately matched at my top choice program.

    Interests & Hobbies

Utah has some of the best hiking and camping spots in the country! A lot of people here are adrenaline junkies, but I prefer to appreciate this beautiful state at a leisurely pace. Within an hour of the city are innumerable hiking trails with plenty of beautiful wildflowers, waterfalls, lakes, and views. It's a great way to escape the city and recharge on my day off.

    Why Utah?

The people! This program attracts people who care deeply about community and truly value education. I have had incredible mentorship from the faculty, and I have built friendships that feel like family. My relationships with my colleagues here make it a joy to come to work.
