About Me
Growing up in a small ski town in Montana, Sami gained a passion for community and outdoor recreation. She then attended Montana State University, finished her degree in cell biology and neuroscience, and competed as a pole vaulter and heptathlete on the track and field team. It was there where she met my best friend and husband, Ryan. Together, they have traveled around Montana and its neighboring states skiing, snowmobiling, and mountain biking. When she started medical school with the University of Washington, she was intent on finding a specialty that would combine her passion for giving to the community with her interest in the complexities of the human body. Sami was intent of primary care, but within her first week of my clinical neurology rotation, she began to feel the pull of this incredible specialty. As a neurologist, she looks forward to being part of a team that delivers meaningful, innovative, and patient-centered care to people with unique and life-altering illnesses. She is incredibly grateful to learn neurology from the faculty, co-residents, and patients at the University of Utah.
