Abigail Benser graduated from Westminster University with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience in December 2022. Abigail joined the Sawant-Pokam Lab in the summer of 2023 as a Laboratory Assistant. She has prior experience with EEG equipment, cell cultures, and invertebrates. With a strong passion for traumatic brain injuries and the brain, she will be working alongside members of the lab to further develop knowledge of cellular and molecular changes after a traumatic brain injury. Abigail is also interested in neurogenetics and has plans to obtain a PhD in that field. Abigail likes to spend time outside of the lab competing in snowboard cross where she hopes to represent Team USA at the Olympics.
