Matthew K. Hyde is an undergraduate student at the University of Utah pursuing a degree in health & kinesiology along with a minor in chemistry. Originally from Maine, Matthew came to Utah for the academics and the skiing, and to be close to extended family. Currently serving as lab assistant at the Pulst & Scoles Lab within the Department of Neurology, he aspires to obtain a medical degree in the future. Some of Matt's scientific interests lie in motor behavior/development, neurodegenerative disease, and gerontology. He has prior clinical experience working with individuals of advanced age living with movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease. Beyond academics and the laboratory, Matthew enjoys hiking, reading, and rooting for Boston/New England sports teams.
