Naomi Kababe is an undergraduate at the University of Utah, majoring in biomedical engineering. Originally from Kenya, Naomi came to Utah in 2021 to pursue her undergraduate studies. In January 2024, she joined the Pokam lab as a laboratory assistant, driven by her keen interest in future research endeavors. She is enthusiastic about gaining hands-on experience in research through this opportunity by learning about the mechanisms of cortical hyperexcitability after traumatic brain injury (TBI). Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, Naomi aspires to pursue a master's and PhD in biomedical engineering, with a focus on entering the pharmaceutical industry. In her free time, Naomi enjoys watching science fiction movies, traveling, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with family and friends.
