  • About Me

I grew up in Northern California before moving to Bozeman, Montana to study exercise science at Montana State University. I then attended medical school at the University of Washington where I was able to split my time between Bozeman and Seattle.

    Medical Areas of Interest

I’m looking forward to learning more about all fields of orthopaedics, though I am particularly interested in upper extremity and trauma at this early point in my education.

    Interests & Hobbies

In my spare time I enjoy all things outdoors: mountain biking, skiing, camping/backpacking, fly fishing, grilling, patio sitting, etc. Pretty much everything that Utah has to offer. I particularly love doing all this with my wife, Addie, and our dog, Gili.

    Why Utah?

I did my away rotation here as a 4th year and my experience while on the joints and trauma services was absolutely phenomenal. The volume of cases are abundant and the attendings are leaders in the field across the board, yet extremely dedicated to resident education. Seeing the surgical autonomy and knowledge/skills of the residents certainly stood out to me as well. Couple this with the excellent core curriculum, state of the art SKI lab, proximity to the Wasatch range/desert, and an overall amazing group of people to work with and I think you’d be hard-pressed to find a better place to train.
