About Me
About Me
I grew up in Wisconsin but spent most of my winter seasons traveling for downhill ski races (there are no real mountains in the Midwest in case you've never been). I was lucky enough to continue racing throughout undergrad at the University of Notre Dame, where I fell in love with the football games (but mostly the tailgates). Outside of residency, I spend all my free time in the outdoors with my 75 lb black lab, Rio.
Medical Areas of Interest

Why Utah?
The University of Utah was one of the only programs that had everything I was looking for. I was looking for a residency program that had well-rounded training, a close group of residents, was focused on resident education, and had faculty who were enthusiasticabout teaching across the board. The department is also continually making advances and looking for the next best thing in resident training, such as the new anatomy SKI lab, the innovation center, and the new curriculum allowing for more elective time during chief year. That, along with the awesome crew of residents here, who are fun both inside and out of the hospital, made me want to be a resident at the U more than anywhere else.
