About Me
About Me
I grew up in Whitmore Lake, MI, a small town about 10 miles outside of Ann Arbor. Having spent four years at the University of Michigan studying biomolecular sciences and taking coursework in computer science, I decided to stay another four years in Ann Arbor for medical school. During undergrad and medical school, I conducted basic science research studying thrombosis and performed vascular ligation microsurgeries in mice, which was a major influence in pursuing a career in orthopaedic surgery.
Medical Areas of Interest
I'm interested in all the fields of orthopaedics, but I'm particularly interested in the role that machine learning, and artificial intelligence at large, can have in orthopaedic surgery.
Interests & Hobbies
I enjoy weight-lifting, hiking, archery, guitar, programming, podcasts, and Michigan sports.
Why Utah?
I chose Utah because I believe it is one of the most well-rounded orthopaedic surgery residencies in the country. It has the unique and strong balance of a well-rounded operative experience while having incredible research opportunities. The faculty here are leaders in their respective fields, and the residents are extremely welcoming and have a supportive camaraderie. Additionally, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be so close to the mountains and have seemingly endless outdoor adventures. Salt Lake City is an exciting and affordable place to live, and I couldn't be more happy that I'm here as a resident.
