  • About Me

    ABOUT ME:

I grew up in Laramie, Wyoming with five brothers and sisters. For undergrad I attended Dartmouth College, where I majored in Spanish and Biology. After college, I worked at the People’s Health Clinic in Park City, UT through AmeriCorps before attending the University of Washington for medical school.

    MEDICAL AREAS OF INTEREST:

All areas of orthopaedics so far.

    INTERESTS AND HOBBIES:

Mountain biking is my #1 passion outside of work but I enjoy all things outdoors: skiing, fly fishing, backpacking, gravel biking, boating, bonfires, ect. I also love spending time with my fiancee and family, beating them at Catan, and listening to true crime podcasts.

    WHY UTAH:

I believe that the University of Utah offers the most well-rounded orthopedic surgery training in the country. One of my top considerations when applying was program culture. From day one it has been apparent that Utah’s program pushes you to be excellent while fostering an incredibly inclusive and supportive learning environment--a balance that is not always easy to find. The breadth and depth of the clinical and surgical experience at Utah is incredible, with attendings at the top of their field in every subspecialty. There are extensive research opportunities with the infrastructure in place to streamline projects. The SKI lab is truly unlike any other skills/anatomy lab in the country with fantastic staff who facilitate every single opportunity to enhance surgical knowledge and skills. Whatever your career goals might be, no doors are closed to you at this program. Additionally, it is a huge perk to live so close to the mountains and an international airport so that I can make the most of my time off.
