  • About Me

I grew up in Corte Madera, CA in a tight-knit family that was constantly playing sports or hitting the trails for hikes and bike rides. My main sport was soccer, which I continued at the collegiate level at Williams College in Williamstown, MA, where I studied Biology. After spending two years in biotech and pharma consulting in Boston, MA, I returned to California for medical school at DGSOM at UCLA. There I developed interests in value based care and orthopaedics, which led me to apply for and complete the Orthopaedic Value Based Health Care Fellowship at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. After returning to UCLA to complete my last year of medical school, I was incredibly excited to match at the University of Utah for residency.

    Medical Areas of Interest

I am still exploring my interests within orthopaedics, having enjoyed all my rotations so far. My research has focused largely on value-based care, patient reported outcomes, and biopsychosocial models of disease.

    Interests & Hobbies

I enjoy any outdoor activities – running, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, etc. – but also baking, travel, and spending time with friends and family.

    Why Utah?

What first drew me to Utah was the culture I had heard about and experienced through various conversations with residents and attendings throughout the application and interview process. I also loved the idea of being so close to the Wasatch mountains, since maximizing access to some of my favorite activities sounded like the ideal setup for a busy residency lifestyle. As I learned more about the program, I quickly realized that it offers all the factors I thought were top priority: an incredibly strong operative experience, access to world-class surgeons as mentors, and extensive research opportunities in my areas of interest. Moreover, it is a definitively resident-focused program where the culture and structure of the program produces excellent orthopaedic surgeons who match to top fellowship programs.
