About Me

I was born in a rural commercial lobstering community on Orr's Island, Maine and grew up working on the lobster boat, playing sports, and spending time outdoors.

Medical Areas of Interest

Delivery of healthcare and the unique obstacles faced by underserved communities in accessing care. Overuse/work-place associated injuries. Musculoskeletal health complaints in the commercial fishing industry. Pre-operative health comorbidities and the impact on surgical outcome.

Interests & Hobbies

Exercise/lifting, reading (favorite thing to do on a free day), stand-up comedy (watching, not performing), hiking, camping, snowshoeing, sailing, skiing, tennis, watercolor painting, drawing, writing.

Why Utah?

I chose Utah because of the quality of the mentors and their investment in the resident education. Additionally, the program is very well-balanced and I wanted exposure to all of the orthopaedic specialities while making long-term career decisions. I fell in love with the program and the personalities within it during my interview day, and am very happy that I trusted my gut instincts.
