Dick A. Rensch

Dick A. Rensch, PA
Endowed Scholarship in Physician Assistant Studies

Dick Rensch has dedicated his life to service; to our country and to the medical profession. From serving as a Navy Corpsman and Air Force PA, to retiring as an Air Force lieutenant Colonel and receiving a lifetime achievement award, Dick has devoted his life to improving the lives of those around him. He has completed many humanitarian military missions to several Native American reservations, has served on Medical teams for the Winter Olympics, has participated on State and National Committees, has sat on the Board of Directors for AAPA, and has been honored with countless awards for his outstanding dedication to the health professions. But his favorite thing about being a PA is volunteering. Dick said, “I would submit the Air Force Core Values; Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in ALL We Do. And you just cannot beat the Golden Rule; Do onto others as you would have others do onto you. I have retired four times and still love our profession even more that I am not getting paid to practice.” Dick has spent a good portion of his career training the next generation of health professionals and is a perfect example of what paying it forward as a PA looks like.
