  • About Me

I was born and raised here in SLC and spent the majority of my time growing up playing in the mountains. I was the kid who was frequently "sick" anytime it snowed more than a foot. I went to the University of Utah for my undergraduate degree and majored in kinesiology. At the same time, I started working at Primary Children's Hospital and worked nights in the emergency room, which is where I found my love for medicine and my desire to become a physician. I married my amazing wife Rachel, then soon after moved to St. Louis for medical school. We were incredibly fortunate to match back to Utah for my residency and we could not be happier to return to the mountains.

    Medical Areas of Interest

General and Pediatric Urology, however I'm keeping an open mind and have loved learning more about all aspects of Urologic surgery.

    Interests & Hobbies

Skiing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, skateboarding (basically anything that I can strap to my feet that allows me to go fast), and weightlifting with my wife.

    Why Utah?

Having grown up in SLC I have always dreamt of training at the University of Utah. I was fortunate to have done an away rotation as a medical student and immediately loved the culture of the program, the camaraderie among residents, and the vast exposure to all Urologic subspecialties. Being 30 minutes away from world-class skiing is also a nice perc during days off!
