About Me
Thomas Knapp, MD is an integrated thoracic resident in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. A native of San Diego, Thomas spent two years on a service mission in Samoa prior to his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Central Florida. Knapp has served on the National Thoracic Medical Student Association, Global Surgery Student Alliance, and Regional Latino Medical Student Association leadership boards. He has a special interest in focusing on congenital and global cardiac surgery in his surgical career. Outside of his work, he enjoys coaching basketball for the Special Olympics, distance running, travel, and hiking.
