    I grew up in Colorado and then went to Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA for undergrad (go zags) where I received by undergraduate degree in biochemistry. I took a year off between undergrad and medical school before being admitted to the University of Colorado. I have been spoiled by great outdoor access for my entire life and do my best to take advantage of it.

    Why Utah?

    As a 4th year medical student I had the opportunity to do an away sub-internship here at the University of Utah. After my month of working with the staff as well as the residents I was convinced this was the right place for me. The residents here receive exceptional surgical and clinical training and access to the things that I love to do outside of medicine is simply unrivaled.
