Jalyn White is a first-year medical student at Howard University College of Medicine. She earned her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Spelman College in May 2024, and has valuable research experience in biochemistry, clinical pharmacology, public health, and health equity. Jalyn is particularly interested in general surgery and plans to stay engaged in surgical education and research throughout medical school. She is a scholar in the HUCM Center of Excellence and also demonstrates a strong commitment to service. In her free time, Jalyn loves to watch and play basketball, listen to music, and sing. She looks forward to expanding her skills through the USTARS program while continuing to explore her passion for surgery.
