Dr. Egan, Professor and Chair, represented the Department at the World Congress of Anesthesia in Singapore, delivering two presentations focused on the Drug Titration Paradox and Total Intravenous Anesthesia.

The World Congress of Anesthesiologists is a gathering of thousands of anesthesia practitioners from around the world held once every four years, sometimes referred to as the Olympics of anesthesia. With representation from more than 130 countries, the WCA is the only international congress that offers a comprehensive program addressing anesthesiology globally. Additionally, WCA provides training and education opportunities that foster conversations, deepen collaboration and accelerate the promotion of science, networking, and knowledge share across the spectrum of anesthesiology.
