About Me
Dr. Chaofan Zhang was born in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, China. She graduated from Zhejiang University in China with a BS in Biological Science in 2016. In 2022, Chaofan earned her PhD in Genetics and Genomics from Baylor College of Medicine. Her PhD work is about identifying novel pathogenic variants, genotype-phenotype correlations, and functional assessment of a genetically heterozygous rare disease, Robinow syndrome. Outside of work, Chaofan likes reading books, playing video games, and baking, as well as outside activities like hiking, paddle boarding, and skiing. She is excited about exploring the beautiful trails and parks in Salt Lake City.
