About Me
Dr. Troy Coody grew up in Longmont, Colorado. In 2016, he graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BA in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Business. Troy made the move to Salt Lake City and earned his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Utah. His PhD work focused on understanding how loss of lysosome function impacts cellular metabolism and overall health of the cell. One interesting fact about Troy is that he has been a resident assistant for different housing programs both at CU Boulder and Utah for 10 years now! Outside of work, Troy loves spending time with his spouse, Christina, and they both love the outdoors. Whether snowboarding, hiking, rafting, or playing pickleball—you can always find them outside!
