The University of Utah Physician Assistant Program operates on two campuses: Salt Lake City and St. George offering equivalent academic rigor, curriculum, and student support. All students, regardless of campus, have equal access to University of Utah resources and services. Some offerings vary slightly based on geography and local partnerships.
Salt Lake City Campus Resources
- Location: Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, Salt Lake City, Utah
- Student Support: Academic advising, mental health counseling, tutoring, and wellness services. Academic advising and tutoring offered through the program and counseling and wellness services are offered through the Universirty of Utah Counseling Center and Center for Campus Wellness.
- Health and Wellness: Comprehensive physical and mental-health care through University Health Student Health Services and University Counseling Center.
- Learning Resources: Eccles Health Sciences Library and Marriot Library
- Academic Support: Advising, tutoring, and counseling through School of Medicine services. Advising, tutoring, learning, study and test-taking assessments and skills offered through the program.
- Clinical Opportunities: Broad network of urban and hospital-based rotations with elective options in underserved and rural settings.
- Technology Support: On-site and remote IT Help Desk access, and Canvas support.
- Housing and Transportation: Information on student housing, parking, and free public transportation (UTA transit) passes.
St. George Campus Resources
St. George students enjoy full access to University of Utah support, including physical and mental-health counseling, academic support, and technology assistance, in addition to select resources through the St. George campus, including:
- Location: Utah Physician Assistant Program in St. George Campus at Utah Tech University Taylor Health Sciences Building.
- Student Support: Academic advising and tutoring offered through the program and counseling and wellness services through the University Counseling Center and Booth Wellness Center at Utah Tech University.
- Health and Wellness: Mental Health counseling services available through the University of Utah Counseling Center, and Booth Wellness Center at Utah Tech University. Full use of the Human Performance Center at the Utah Tech University, including a fitness center, 50 meter olympic sized swimming pool, climbing wall, indoor basketball courts and track.
- Learning: Access to both the Eccles Library and the Marriott Library databases available online.
- Academic Support: Advising, tutoring, learning, study, and test taking assessments and skills are offered through the program.
- Clinical Opportunities: Broad network of urban and hospital-based rotations with elective options in underserved and rural settings.
- Technology Support: Full access to University IT Help Desk, Canvas platform support,and distance learning technology.
- Housing and Transportation: Information on student housing and parking.
- Emphasis on rural and community-based rotations serving southern Utah and neighboring regions.
Equal Access Statement
All policies, procedures, and curricular components apply equally to students at both campuses. Academic, health, counseling, and technology services are provided without distinction between locations.
