Jaime Christensen is the Director of Education for the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Utah. She oversees the strategic, operational, and financial management of multiple graduate medical education programs, including General Psychiatry, Triple Board, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Addiction Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry. She leads an education team supporting numerous trainees and contributes to curriculum and process improvement and implementation.
With over 20 years of experience in academic medical education, Jaime brings deep expertise in program leadership, accreditation, and team development. She is actively involved in national committees with the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT) and the Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) and is a long-standing Certified Training Administrator in Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME). Jaime has published in Academic Pediatrics and Pediatrics and received the APPD Carol Berkowitz Award for Lifetime Advocacy in Pediatric Medical Education. She holds both a bachelor’s degree in business management and an MBA from Western Governors University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and live music.
