Why Utah?
I found out about Triple Board late in my third year of medical school, which felt like a blessing because I had no idea how I was going to choose between Pediatrics and Psychiatry. I wanted to do both, but I wanted to do them the right way. Before my interview, I had some concerns about moving to Utah and whether I would find a sense of community here. During my interview, though, I felt at peace and saw the intentional work the program was doing around community advocacy, abd belonging. I ultimately moved to Utah sight unseen, and the mountains have absolutely lived up to the hype. Training here has also exposed me to areas of psychiatry I had not previously considered, including TMS and ketamine therapy.
