I wanted a residency program that offered both the resources of a major academic institution and the focused training opportunities of a stand-alone psychiatric hospital. I was also excited to reap the benefits of the world-class psychiatric research taking place and gain exposure to emerging treatment modalities in psychiatry. Above all, I knew that at the U, I’d be joining a program that would support my personal growth and wellness in tandem with my professional development.
